Summary

The client required a QR code business card portal for it's multiple brands and their offices around the world. The brief required the templates to be automatically populated with an address, which would be driven by the users choice of location on a landing page. A dynamic vCard QR Code was required on the business card. This was to include the location address along with the name, job title and contact details that the user would enter into the template's editable fields.

My Tasks

  • Create all business card templates
  • Configure and add a dynamic vCard QR Code to all business card templates
  • Set up profile data to capture the location addresses for auto population
  • Create a landing page and build a navigation bar for users to choose their office location from
  • Style portal with gategroup branding
  • Look after any required portal and template amends

Categories

Each location can have a choice of multiple branded business cards, depending on which brands the selected location looks after.

Location options

As there are so many locations, along with having all of the users in one area of the portal, the site required a drop down menu on the landing page for the users to choose from. This is something i created within the system's snippet function, which allows you to create and add your own html.

Products

There are a few types of business cards including the standard single language cards and additonal dual language card options for locations across Asia.

Single Language Business Cards

The QR codes are driven by the text coming from the name and contact fields that the user inputs, along with the location address, which is automatcally added to the QR code via the profile data. The client also wanted an option of not having the QR appear on the card and so i added a drop down menu for the user to select this requirement from. I added an additonal graphic layer which would mask the QR code based on the users choice.

Dual Language Business Cards

The client required additonal templates that had Chinese and Japanese translation of the contact details on the reverse of the card.
